A feature-lengh documentary National Bird follows the dramatic journey of three whistleblow- ers who are determined to break the silence around one of the most controversial current af- fairs issues of our time: the secret U.S. drone war. At the center of the film are three U.S. military veterans. Plagued by guilt over participating in the killing of faceless people in foreign coun- tries, they decide to speak out publicly, despite the possible consequences.

Sonia Kennebeck

Sonia Kennebeck is an independent documentary film- maker and investigative journalist who has worked for CNN and ARD,a German Television Station. She lives in Washington, D.C., where she runs her own production company, Ten Forward Films, that makes films about in- ternational politics and human rights. Her previous docu- mentary about the German brothel industry, Sex - Made in Germany (2013), was an Official Selection of the Montreal World Film Festival 2013 and the Festival de Télévision de Monte-Carlo 2014. National Bird is her first feature-length documentary film.
